Along with the rest of the known universe we at RadioEditAV were ecstatic when Daft Punk’s long awaited Random Access Memories alblum dropped. So happy in fact we decided to throw our version of a ablum release party to honor the momentous occasion. What is our version of an alblum release party, you may ask? Well, we secured an amazing artist loft in downtown Chicago for the night, rounded up every laser and light producing gadget we could find, got our resident analog live visual sensei to whip up some crazy colors, fabricated tribute helmets out of native materials, invited all our friends and our friends’ friends and danced until our legs were weak.
At an undisclosed location in the South Loop, Daft Drunk took the stage to show the crowd how the Robots would rock a loft party
It was truly amazing night highlighted by the circus styling of our eccentric hosts, there were inpromptu displays of grace and feats of strength, tasty beverages, and music by KORE-One, The Taste Testers and Chicago’s newest electronic sensation Daft Drunk. It was a seriously fun night that felt like a pagan harvest festival for the bounty of new music to bop our heads to. Thanks to our hostess Shorty, all of the performers and to Daft Punk for continuing to push music forward.
